Prime Minister, Narendra Modi ,today met with oil and gas supplier CEOs and experts in the meeting to discuss the issue of supply of natural gas and electricity and service tax (GST). Central Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia briefed on the decisions taken by the GST council on the oil and gas sector.Prime Minister has asserted that the energy sector in the country is highly volatile. He also said that energy infrastructure needs to be enhanced and that energy supply should be ensured in the eastern side of the country. The Prime Minister said that the country is entering into the economy of clean fuels and fuel efficiency.Representatives of institutions such as national, international oil companies, World Bank, International Gas Union and International Energy Agency participated.
